How education can change lives

Education provides stability in life. It not only helps in a career but also helps in the betterment of life. Check out what an Ex IB student, Taapsi has to say about how education matters.

We generally consider quotes to be rather cliché however, it is necessary to hear and understand those who have reached the stars or the $100 bills in this case, therefore, as Benjamin Franklin said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”. Education is a form of investment from which one can reap the benefits for the rest of their lives. For example, as an IB student, I occasionally thought of the Extended Essay to be wasteful however, as a University student, I understand the need to learn to write long essays on a single, niche topic that are not only necessary for the grades but also important as a skill. Furthermore, no form of education or learning can fail you. All through high-school, my dislike towards the subject of Mathematics grew boundless however, today, when I am entering into the world of data and empirical business, the foundation provided by Maths in my early years is helping me to crack every problem.

Consider teenage as a soap

Why you must ask? Because teenage is a very crucial age. An age from puberty to legal adulthood. A lot of physical and psychological development takes place in this phase. There is too much commotion in teenage. The teenager themselves have no clue as to what is going on in their life, what is right, what is wrong? Everything their own brain tells them is true and what someone forcibly pushes them to is wrong. This blog is for parents as well as the teachers in the classroom who also have to deal with kids. Consider the teenagers as a soap. Now, what happens to a soap? Any guesses? It slips if it has an easy-grip, it also slips if there is too much pressure applied on to it. The teenagers are the same. If restricted them from doing a certain thing, their mind will keep jumping till the time they do it and experience it. Never force a kid not to do anything. Simply, tell him the bad consequences, maybe relate it to a personal story. Let the kid decide whether the task is worth risking o...

Students facing troubles while making decisions

From an IB student to another IB student, some of the most terrifying yet rewarding moments include choosing my subjects in Grade 11, selecting a topic to write my Extended Essay on and finally, filling out the various university applications. While I understand that making decisions that a student may believe is the foundation of their careers and their life can be nerve-racking, it is important to acknowledge that one will always find the help necessary to make these decisions.
